2 - Cheap Power

- Sempron 2600 CPU (socket 754) ($75)
- Cheaper motherboard ($85)
- 512MB of RAM (single channel) ($50)
- Cheapo case w/crappy power supply ($40)
- Geforce 6600 (non GT) video card ($105)

Total: $355

This machine will do for the time being, but it's not a long haul performer. Keep in mind that for alot of cases, you pay for the design. If you don't want a tower that looks cool, just get a plain jane case, but I would suggest on not skimping on the power supply unit. This power supply willdo the trick, but will not last very long. You get what you pay for pretty much. This rig will get you through some basic gaming, and it will be able to handle your taxes. Make sure to add a cheap HDD, a 60GB will more than do for this type of machine. Buyer beware, don't go too low on quality/price, you get what you pay for!!
